Eid-El-Fitr: ANA Congratulates Muslims as ANA-FUNAI Conference starts
on Monday
Mallam Denja Abdulahi, the
National President of the Association of Nigerian Authors (ANA) has
congratulated Muslims in the country on the end of the 30 days Ramadan fasting,
urging them to use the Eid-el-Fitr celebration to pray for peace, unity and
development of the country.
In a release made available to
newsmen today, Mallam Denja Abdulahi reiterated his belief that the celebration
of Eid-el-Fitr should go beyond merry making. He stated that "Ramadan has
taught us the need for and benefits of physical, spiritual and intellectual
exertions. The Sallah we are celebrating today has also confirmed the words of
Allah that after every hardship comes ease, that is we should endure and be
constant in our faith of a brighter future. We should continue to pray that
relief should come after all our exertions for our family, association and
nation."
Denja Abdulahi tasked Muslim
faithfuls in the country to embrace the spirit of love and forgiveness preached
by Islam.
The President of the apex body of
writers in Nigeria prayed to the almighty Allah that all the supplications made
during the Ramadan fasting period will be accepted by Allah.
In the same vein, Mallam Denja Abdulahi has assured all ANA members home and abroad that the forthcoming ANA-FUNAI Conference will still hold as promised. The Conference will start on Monday with the Keynote address to be delivered by Prof. Isidore Diala.
Mallam Denja Abdulahi further
urged interested ANA members from the South East region to avail themselves the
opportunity of attending the conference.
