GREETS NIGERIANS, MEMBERS ON INDEPENDENCE DAY.
The National President
of the Association of Nigerian Authors, (ANA), Mallam Denja Abdulahi on Tuesday
conveyed his greetings to the people of Nigeria and members of the Association
of Nigerian Authors (ANA) in particular on the occasion of 59th Independence
Day.
In his Independence Day
Message, Mallam Denja Abdulahi, the outgoing ANA President has extended
greetings and good wishes to the people of Nigeria and members of the
Association of Nigerian Authors within and outside the country.
According to Mallam
Denja abdullahi “Independence Day is a day of remembrance as well as of
dedication. Remembrance of all those great patriots whose sacrifices made it
possible for us to enjoy the fruits of freedom and dedication to the noble
ideals of truth, non-violence, peace, solidarity and brotherhood which inspired
our national struggle for freedom. On this auspicious day, we all pledge
ourselves to the cause of nation building”
“Let us on this
favorable occasion resolve to dedicate ourselves to strengthen our national
fabric and shoulder the responsibility of taking our nation to greater heights.
May we renew our pledge to uphold our nation's sovereignty and integrity and
contribute our might for her peace, progress and prosperity”.
Mallam Denja Abdulahi
however urged ANA Members to start preparing themselves for the forthcoming
38th ANA International Convention which is also an election year which has been
billed to take place in Enugu.
Also, In response to
the yearnings of ANA members and to further ease the logistics for members
intending to attend this year’s convention, the National Executive Council has
extended the early bird payment of the annual dues and convention registration
fee of N10,000 (Ten Thousand Naira Only) to 11th of October, 2019 . After 11th
October,2019, no further payment will be welcomed. This is to enable the
National Executive Council and the LOC to be able to plan towards conducting a
successful and hitch-free convention. Members are advised to be ready to
conduct themselves according to the laid down rules and procedures to ensure a
well-appointed convention that will climax with the transition to a new
leadership corp at the national level for the Association. Long Live ANA and
