ANA FELICITATES WITH CHRISTIANS AT EASTER
The Association of Nigerian
Authors (ANA) has felicitated with the entire Christian community in Nigeria on
the occasion of the Easter Celebration which marks the earthly works,
suffering, death, resurrection and ascension of Jesus Christ.
In a goodwill
message signed by the National President of ANA, Mallam Denja Abdulahi, he
called on the Christians to forge greater unity irrespective of religious or
ethnic differences and emulate Jesus by demonstrating
love to one another and to their neighbours, just as Jesus admonished his
disciples to love their neighbours as themselves..
According to the message:
“As Nigerians we must eschew acts that will divide us further. We must embrace
the Christ attitude of living in love and harmony with ourselves and our
neighbours.
ANA stressed that
the Easter celebration is an opportunity for Christians to reflect on the
ultimate sacrifice done for the sake of salvation of mankind, as well as human
love and peace by Jesus Christ.
Mallam
Denja Abdulahi finally called on Christians to use this year celebration as a
period of sober reflection to reflect on the teachings of Jesus Christ.
