GREETS NIGERIA AT 58
Mallam Denja Abdulahi,
the National President of the Association of Nigerian Authors (ANA) has sent
his warm greetings to Nigerians on the occasion of the nation’s 58th
independence Anniversary.
This was contained in a
press release issued and made available to pressmen in Abuja this morning.
According to ANA
President “We wish Nigerians a happy Independence Day celebration with peace
and prosperity throughout the remaining part of the year and beyond. On behalf
of the Association of Nigerian Authors (ANA), my warmest congratulations to the
people of Nigeria as we celebrate 58 years of independence today. We are fully
aware that the country is passing through difficult times but as Nigerians we
are resilient and shall overcome all the challenges with determination,active
participation of the citizenry in the polity and the exhibition of patriotic
spirit by the leaders. ANA therefore call on all Nigerians to renew their faith
in Nigeria today and not to give up as in oneness we will be greater. Let us
all do all we can together to make Nigeria a better place to live.

ANA President finally appealed to Nigerians to shun violence, religious
extremism , ethnic parochialism and all unpatriotic acts that divert from the
greatness of the country; and that as we enter the electoral season , the will
of the people must be allowed to prevail without intimidation, manipulation or
subversion.
