GREETS MUSLIMS, URGES MEMBERS TO START PREPARING FOR THE 2019 CONVENTION.
The Association of Nigerian Authors (ANA) has sent goodwill message to the Muslim community on the celebration of this year Eid El-Kabir Festival holding today across the country.
In the goodwill message by Mallam Denja Abdullahi, the outgoing President of the Association of Nigerian Authors (ANA) urged the Muslim faithful to uphold their faith and obedience to Allah in the spirit of compassion for one another.
Mallam Denja Abdulahi admonished the Muslim faithful in Nigeria, especially those in ANA, to use this year’s Eid-el Kabir celebration to promote unity, love and peaceful coexistence.
The President of ANA reminded Muslims that having unflinching faith in Allah as exemplified by Prophet Ibrahim, who because of his faith, was about sacrificing his only son, has its good tidings as Allah provided a lamb for that purpose thus, the celebration Eid-el Kabir.”
Mallam Denja Abdulahi urged ‘Muslims and every patriotic Nigerian’ to pray fervently for those things that would promote unity of the country, and against things that threaten the existence of Nigeria.
In the same statement ANA President noted that Muslims should use the opportunity of the Eid to pray for the leadership of the nation, asking God to grant them all that they require to work for the progress of the citizenry.
Mallam Denja Abdulahi finally urged eligible ANA members to start preparing for the forthcoming 38th Annual International Convention of the Association which will be holding in Enugu from 31st October -3rd November, 2019 with the theme “Literature, Nationalism and the Poetics of Integration." He implored Intending delegates to be ready to adhere to laid down procedures and shun petty,divisive and desperate politicking as the convention is going to be an elective one where the Association is expected to elect new leaders that would be saddled with its affairs for the next two years.
